Extend Your Limits with the Stage Cave Diver Course
If you’re already certified as a Full Cave Diver and ready to stay underwater longer and go farther, this course is your next step.
The Stage Cave Diver course is designed to teach divers how to safely extend their bottom time and penetration distance in caves by using stage cylinders. You’ll improve gas planning skills, master complex dive planning, and refine your buoyancy and cylinder-handling techniques.
By adding additional tanks (called stage bottles), divers can go deeper into the cave system while maintaining safety through careful gas management and decompression strategies.
What You’ll Learn
This course includes theory, dryland exercises, and in-water training sessions focused on:
-
Equipment configuration and stage tank handling
-
Dive planning with extended range and decompression obligations
-
Multiple gas switch strategies and safety protocols
-
Emergency scenarios and gas failure management
-
Streamlining and advanced propulsion techniques suitable for caves
Why Train for Multi-Stage Cave Diving?
Using stage tanks allows you to reach areas few divers ever see. You’ll gain experience in long-range navigation and improve your confidence in handling complex environments. This course is also a foundational step if you’re aiming to progress into cave DPV or exploration diving.
